Day two of the fave series is yet another sewing super star. Cherie of you & mie is the sort of person who instantly makes you feel comfortable. Which might sound funny because I haven't actually met her in person yet, but I have a strong sense she's the kind of friend who will always have your back. My fabric dealer Keli of Drygoods (yes, I'm addicted) has met Cherie and raved about her sweetness and happy spirit. Her blog is full of amazing creations and the BEST tutorials, but more than ... Guest Post: An of StraightGrain
Good morning, friends! First up for the fave series is quite the phenomenon: An of StraightGrain. Her blog is but a year old, but this maven of Belgian Style is all over Pinterest and has a loyal and rapidly increasing following. I was lucky enough to be part of her Belgian Style Series a few weeks ago, which was all sorts of fun. Happy Friday + Randomness

I'm calling this last-minute, casual series, "These are a few of my ... Read more
Sewing for Me: Coral Stripes, Lace + Geometric

Let's talk about the kimono top first. I made this in a black stripey jersey knit a few years ago, and mentioned its dismal craftsmanship here. Despite the seams falling apart, I wear the black top frequently and ... Read more

So, feeling the greasy weight of the hamburgers and hotdogs and s'mores consumed on our recent camping trip in my gut, I've jumped on the bandwagon, albeit in small ways (I'm still eating food). I realize I'm not winning any points with the attractiveness of these images, but if you could bottle ... Read more
