Pink House

Until this last Los Angeles trip, I never paid much attention to the houses in my parent’s neighborhood. It’s a rather hip area, very close to Hollywood and dotted with charming Spanish-style bungalows.

Near one of my favorite coffee shops is the prettiest pink house. I’ve been a bit caught up with the color pink lately, if you haven’t noticed. I even pulled all manners of pink patterned fabric for K’s fall wardrobe, but she just informed me that she is so over the color. Oh dear – I hope she’ll wear the very pink dress I made her for the first day of school…

I’m not known for my green thumb, but I’ve bee I’m not known for my green thumb, but I’ve been able to nurture the indigo plant seeds that my dear friend @rachelannbillingsgrunig gave me (harvested from her own garden!). Rachel is a master at natural dyeing and I’m super excited to learn from her and create indigo-dyed linen. This is all I have going on in the gardening front, but these bright green seedling leaves sure feel perfectly summer-y to me…🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
