Monday Outfit: Easter Ensemble

April 1, 2013

Good morning! How was your Easter weekend? We had what could only be described as a glorious day. The sun! The food! Friends and fun! It was perfect. I hid roughly a million eggs at the crack of dawn for our annual neighborhood egg hunt, and we spent the entire day outdoors, basking in the warmth of an unseasonably warm Easter Sunday. We couldn't believe that we needed sunscreen in March. I made a few things for K, as per usual. This cheerful fabric is Sunspray Ball & Leaves by Lotta ... Read more

You and Mie Guest Post + Outfits

March 26, 2013

Friends, technical problems abound, and I'm so sorry if you've been having trouble accessing this blog. My server is not completely dead but is definitely on its deathbed and very unstable. For the time being, it's up again...but may go down again any minute. Anyway, I am loving all the blog recommendations from yesterday! I'm familiar with a few but so many are new to me and I've been adding them to my reader like crazy! Thank you! [Update: I lost many of the comments and we are in the ... Read more

Japanese Sewing Book Series + Sewing Projects of Yore Part 2

March 20, 2013

You've probably heard the buzz. The delightful Miss Cherie of You and Mie is hosting her very first series and it's an awesome one: Japanese Book Sewing Series! Cherie has brought together a group of blogging ladies, including yours truly, familiar with the way of the "wa" (a pun that probably makes no sense at first glance; "Wa" means the "center" or the "fold" on Japanese pattern sheets and it also means ... Monday Outfit: Denim Skirt + Two Tops

March 18, 2013

Good morning, friends! I hope you had a fun St. Patrick's Day weekend. While the young'uns (meaning the college students and twenty-somethings prevalent in our neighborhood) frolicked in their rip-roaring ragers decked out in leprechaun hats, we quietly went about our business, wearing a little bit of green while drinking hot cocoa and reveling in the rare burst of sunshine. So. I've been trying to listen to K's plea for bolder, brighter clothing and this week's outfit is my attempt at ... Read more

Monday Outfit: Teal Bow Top + Dotty Flannel Pants

March 11, 2013

Good morning! How was your weekend? We had one of those great ones with zero scheduling. Lazy, easy, happy. I did spend several hours moving around furniture in our living room in an attempt to make it more efficient for my creative endeavors, only to move it all back to the way it was originally. At least I got to dust behind all the furniture (and whoa, those dust bunnies were a sight to behold). This week's outfit was a hit with K. She's been voicing her concerns that I seem to only ...
