If you've been around here for some time, you know that I like to hang out in coffee shops, whiling away the hours contemplating first world problems in my journal. That luxury is less frequent these days, but a few weeks ago, I was indulging in my latte + croissant respite and overheard a conversation that perked my ears right up. Happy Friday + Randomness
Happy Friday! Actually, we've been having a not so happy end of the week. K suddenly fell ill again and at school yesterday, she threw up. I'm feeling like my parenting license (if I had one) should be revoked for sending her to school in the first place. Happy Friday + Randomness
Happy Friday! Poor K has had the sniffles for the last few days, and I've been plying her with a mixture of lemon juice and honey in warm water to soothe her throat. This is the girl who usually has the sass to say things like, "Don't micromanage me, Mommy."* But I think she's on the mend and we now have the weekend to fully recuperate. Just a quick note …
Happy Friday + Randomness
Happy Friday! A few days ago, as K and I were walking back from school, we started talking about fairies as we are wont to do. K: Mommy, you know that fairies aren't real, right? Me: What? What do you mean? K: They're fiction. That means made up. Just like mermaids and Santa. Me: What makes you think that, sweetie? K: I saw it in the Tinkerbell movie - at the end when all those names start showing up, it said "this is a work of fiction". So they're not real, right? Me: …
