So, I am tracing and cutting patterns today and in between those tasks, I thought I would make a jelly roll cake. But no. I followed the instructions to the letter, and still the cake cracked all over the place. I completed the Sunki dress and is it me, or does it make you think of Jackie O? I love the gold tulips on the inky blue background. It shimmers gloriously and if the dress weren't pint-sized, it threatens to look like something you'd find in your stylish grandmother's closet. Every year around this time as the temperature dips, my skin goes haywire. My hands become chapped and look like sandpaper. Hmmm....what could these be? They're tiny, with a rich-yet-not-too-sweet crust, and they taste like autumn. Why, Apple Pie Cookies, of course!
