Oh Laundry…

April 3, 2013

...how you overwhelm me. I can't keep up and I need a better system. Do you do laundry every day? Are you keeping up? How do you do it?? I think I would be a lot more motivated to do laundry if my utility room looked like this or this or this instead of like Gollum's natural habitat (a terrifying place, our basement). I have a friend who lived in Manhattan for a spell and she sent out her clothes to a laundry service regularly. "What about your underwear??!" I asked, scandalized. She shrugged ... Read more

A slightly tropical granola

April 2, 2013

You know I love me some sweets, and if I were stranded on an island and could have only one type of food, it would be breakfast treats. I love them all: muffins, scones, pancakes, french toast, pain au chocolat...I could go on forever listing these. Monday Outfit: Easter Ensemble

April 1, 2013

Good morning! How was your Easter weekend? We had what could only be described as a glorious day. The sun! The food! Friends and fun! It was perfect. We couldn't believe that we needed sunscreen in March. I made a few things for K, as per usual. This cheerful fabric is Sunspray Ball & Leaves by Lotta ... Read more

Happy Friday + Randomness

March 29, 2013

Happy Friday! I may be jinxing things to write this, but the server mayhem may be resolved! M tells me that in terms of server space, I've basically gone from hovel/shanty to palatial digs. Nice. Small things: the other day I was browsing through the Elliot Bay Book Company and discovered their little cafe where I decided to hunker down with a cup of au lait and a warm mini-loaf of potato bread. I was feeling a bit blue and under the weather, as it happens in life sometimes, and I wanted to ... Read more

You and Mie Guest Post + Outfits

March 26, 2013

Friends, technical problems abound, and I'm so sorry if you've been having trouble accessing this blog. My server is not completely dead but is definitely on its deathbed and very unstable. For the time being, it's up again...but may go down again any minute. Anyway, I am loving all the blog recommendations from yesterday! I'm familiar with a few but so many are new to me and I've been adding them to my reader like crazy! Thank you! [Update: I lost many of the comments and we are in the ... Read more
