Happy Friday! Poor K has had the sniffles for the last few days, and I’ve been plying her with a mixture of lemon juice and honey in warm water to soothe her throat. Luckily, I’m hale and hearty still, though I might have felt a tickle this morning. It’s a little unsettling to see K with such low energy. This is the girl who usually has the sass to say things like, “Don’t micromanage me, Mommy.”* But I think she’s on the mend and we now have the weekend to fully recuperate.
Just a quick note today as I need to go and prepare for my first ever sewing class this Sunday! Wishing you all a happy, happy weekend!
*This left me speechless, as you can imagine – where could she have possibly learned that?

I’m off to teach class
A little nervous, I am
though it will be fun!
Pienkel says
Get well soon for K, and enjoy your class!
sanae says
Thank you, Pienkel! K is almost all better, but now M and I are starting to feel fuzzy 🙁 must sleep…
Lucinda says
Hope little K feels better soon – such a bummer to be under the weather:-(
I understand being nervous for your first class, but also know that you have no reason to be! You will come uber-prepared, very knowledgable, and with creativity that knows no bounds. Essentially, you will rock it! Would love to be part of this maiden voyage class:)

Thank you so much for the vote of confidence, Lucinda! I’m really looking forward to trying my hand at teaching sewing. I hope to report back good news on all fronts 🙂
Rhonda says
Best wishes for your class. I am sure you will have a wonderful time. In fact, I wish I could join in!
sanae says
Thanks, Rhonda! It’s sure to be a lot of fun!
Marta DoGuincho says
When the weather changes my girls always get a sore throat…
I hope K gets better soon!
And good luck on your class! I’m sure you and your students will have a great time!
sanae says
Thanks Marta! Colder weather and lots of hugging with school friends pretty much guarantees the sniffles every fall…she’s doing much, much better so hooray! And thanks for your kind words about the class – fingers crossed 🙂
Asmita says
Ha ha ha. Sounds like my five year old! Enjoy your first class. I am sure you’ll do well:-)
sanae says
Thanks Asmita! I was in a bit of a frenzy the day before at Kinko’s because I was trying to get these large format prints done and EVERYTHING was going wrong. But the day of the class itself was awesome!
Monica--Adirondack Inspired says
The micromanage comment is cracking me up! You have some lucky students waiting for you!
sanae says
Thanks Monica! Where do kids come up with this stuff? One time I asked her to get me some napkins and she paused, turned to me and said “Okay, but I want you to know that I’m not your personal slave.” What??? As for the class, I felt like the lucky one! The students were amazing and I actually learned some cool tricks from them! 🙂
gail says
good luck today, sanae! can’t wait to hear how the class goes – i wish i could be there!!
sanae says
Oh thank you, sweet Gail! It went surprisingly smoothly and I had a blast! 🙂
