Happy Friday! Do you likeΒ K’s instructions for this year’s Halloween costume? “Tight” seems to be the overriding theme…She’s been into this show called Mighty Med, which is about a hospital for superheroes. As a result, there’s been a significant uptick in the obsession level of all things superhero-related (Marvel comic books are permanently piled next to the kitchen table). I’m a little stumped when it comes to what she wants attached to the velcro strips on the utility belt, but it seems like something doable in 24 hours, right? It’ll have to be since that’s all I have until the annual Halloween-themed, dress-up bash at K’s school.

Wishing you all a cozy weekend! It’s gorgeous in Seattle, and I’m savoring this slightly-chilly-yet-sunny autumn with multiple cups of warm beverages and walks around pretty neighborhoods. I love this time of year so much.

I love her descriptions… I’m currently working on Tinkerbell and an astronaut… the rest are done! π The weather is beautiful. I’m loving not having heavy coats but layering with sweaters and flannel.

You’ve been a busy costume maker, Kristi! Good luck with them all π

I do not see any animal print descriptions. And no cape. I think we are missing this costume’s back story.
sanae says
Right?? I too was surprised that there was no reference to animal print, but we did end up making a cape! Thanks, Greta!
Lucinda says
K is a superhero in her own right, to be sure! Now she’s just letting everyone else in on her little secret:) Hope the costume creating went smoothly and lived up to her “tight” vision!:) Glad you’re enjoying some sewing again.

π K IS a superhero – it was so nice to be sewing again, Lucinda, even though it was basically a t-shirt and shortened leggings. The cape was easy to make and fun too!
