sometimes. life shoots arrows
that pierce blindly
the released air
sounds
like sighs of sadness
or
hiccups of laughter
or maybe
gasps of wonder*
*I am having a week in which the highs and lows are engaged in a major tug-of-war. So for today, this is all.
I hope the rest of your week is a nice plateau of peacefulness. I love all your illustrations.
Thank you, Anna! Simple words, simple drawings – they suit me well, I think.
*big hug*
Sounds a bit like my own week, I must say. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for more highs throughout the rest of the week, both for you and for myself!
Thanks so much, and hope your week is improving, Jana! It’s the nature of things to ebb and flow, no?
Be still and listen. Sometimes that helps!
Wise words, thank you Greta! We are on the same wave length!
HUGS!!
HUGS BACK!!!! Thx, Ute!
what a beautiful poem, though!
Oh, thank you Kath! Poetry is not my forte at all, but I liked the way those words worked together
It seemed much more productive to futz with words than to wallow.
I have a proverb that helps me through times when I feel like that…”Do not despise the day of small things”. I guess another way to say it is do not despise the small things we see/accomplish/taste/enjoy in our days (even when our day is really bad!) I hope your week is better than you can dream.
I like that proverb! Reminiscent of don’t sweat the small stuff, but a much more eloquently stated message. Thank you for the sweet words, Arlene!
hugs or high fives, whatever you need. take care!
Aw, thanks Kristin! Both have been needed throughout the week…
I sure hope the highs (or at least the middle ground) wins over the lows!!
Love the poem despite the inspiration
Thank you so much, Alana! Things are looking up, I hope, and really, some amazing highlights have also been part of the week as well
Man, this resonated a lot with me today. ((deep breath))
deep breaths are good. very good! Thanks, Adri.
Thinking of you!
Sending you good thoughts!
Marit
Oh, thank you Marit! Same to you!
As your week draws to a conclusion, hoping that you see goodness and growth as you reflect back. And may the days ahead bring a balance of peace that allows your spirit to rest. Thinking of you, my friend.
I appreciate that Lucinda! Thank you. A week of massive highs and sorrowful lows. In the end, I suppose it sort of cancels each other out
