I have such a fun update for you today! Brilliant Robin came up with a sewing swap idea and I was totally in as soon as she told me about it. I was quaking in my (Seattle-appropriate rain) boots to be included in the line-up of such talented sewing bloggers, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. The idea is a sort of mash-up of Secret Santa and Pinterest-inspired sewing project, and I was thrilled to get my assignment. But first, I want to talk about the person who sewed for me (or …

Monday Outfit: Easter Ensemble
Good morning! How was your Easter weekend? We had what could only be described as a glorious day. The sun! The food! Friends and fun! It was perfect. I hid roughly a million eggs at the crack of dawn for our annual neighborhood egg hunt, and we spent the entire day outdoors, basking in the warmth of an unseasonably warm Easter Sunday. Cherie has brought together a group of blogging ladies, including yours truly, familiar with the way of the "wa" (a pun that probably makes no sense at first glance; "Wa" means the "center" or the "fold" on Japanese pattern sheets and it also means …
Monday Outfit: Denim Skirt + Two Tops

While the young'uns (meaning the college students and twenty-somethings prevalent in our neighborhood) frolicked in their rip-roaring ragers decked out in leprechaun hats, we quietly went about our business, wearing a little bit of green while drinking hot cocoa and reveling in the rare burst of sunshine. So. I've been trying to listen to K's plea for bolder, brighter clothing and this week's outfit is my attempt at …
