Monday Outfit: Lilac Frills and Purple Sheep

August 19, 2013

Good morning! How was your weekend? I hope you're feeling refreshed and ready for the week. I feel like we're grasping onto the last bits of summer at this point, trying to hold onto as many vacation-esque activities as possible. Abundant swimming, Beamo throwing (so fun! Another one of K's great birthday gifts), outdoor eating... But let's talk about this week's outfit. I had something else in mind initially and even had the patterns all traced and cut out, ready to go. As I sifted through ... Read more

Happy Friday + Randomness

August 16, 2013

Happy Friday, my lovely friends! I had hoped to be much more productive this week with K in camp (which has been so fantastic - art! glass museum and ceramics studio visits! 3-D movies!), but I've mysteriously frittered away time and now I'll be doing "Mama camp" at K's request for the remainder of summer. This brown knit with white polka dots is one of my prized fabrics, and I clenched my teeth a bit as I ... Read more

Summer Goodness

August 14, 2013

Does anything say summer more than snow cones and shaved ice? OK, if you live in Oceania, they probably say winter to you, but we've been enjoying icy goodness a lot lately. K got this little snow cone maker along with three syrup flavors as a birthday gift from a friend and this has been a huge hit. It's such a good idea that I wanted to include it here as a reminder for future summer gifts (I've seen these on sale - the listed price on that link seems a touch high). The machine is quite ... Sartorial Musings

August 13, 2013

Pink+Grey Striped Knit Top | Lace+Navy Tank Top | Coral-Striped Kimono Top |  White Linen Blend Skirt | Ikat Knit Tank | Pink Scoop Top | Brown Linen Tank Top |  Stripey Scoop Top | Textured Maxi | Navy Chevron Maxi  Contrary to the impression I'm making on this here blog, I'm actually a pretty organized and very reliable person. I've always been pathological about meeting deadlines and following-through, but lately...hmmmmmmmmmm. Let's just say I'm working on getting back on track. Maybe ... Read more
