One of my new goals is to do more book events. Not only do the events help promote the books to which I dedicated mega effort, they're great fun, and I'm challenging myself to get better at public speaking. STILL Hacked
It doesn't look like much is happening with the ole blog these past few weeks, but under the hood, it's getting outfitted with some impressive security measures and tensile armor. Or something. I don't know, when the husband starts to emit sounds that include words like "sql" and "SSH keys" my ear flaps involuntarily close up. Sewing Happiness Pre-launch Thoughts
Look what came in the mail! My advance copies of Sewing Happiness!! As I'm sure I've mentioned before, that indigo you see on the spine is the fabric that my friend Rachel hand-dyed for the book (Rachel styled most of the book and did a spectacular job). As I type this, my book is getting printed. For some reason I envision old-timey printing presses whirring out massive sheets of paper with folks racing hither and yon, wearing ink-splattered aprons and shouting things like, "Typesetter, tarry ye not!" -- I bet, though, things are all slick and digitized and operated by androids these days. Happy Friday + Randomness
It's been quiet around here, which means things are bustling in the background. I have much to share, but one of the highlights of last week was a Little Kunoichi event.
