Happy Friday! The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of celebrations and there's still one last hurrah this weekend. After the American Girl bonanza, I'm determined to not go overboard with K's party this weekend. M and I will be entertaining about 10 kids and I'm shooting for an ultra casual gathering. An illustration I made according to K's instructions. She wanted a row of houses/buildings all leading to a lake, and insisted upon an airplane in the air. Happy Friday + Randomness
Happy Friday! What a week - it's been full throttle fun. Yesterday, we had a gathering of friends with an awesome spread of food to celebrate the Fourth of July. Three long tables filled to the gills with snacks and treats and grilled goodness. The kids careened down slip 'n' slides (and a few adults too) and we even had a keg of beer! We're officially back! We got in very, very late last night from Michigan and I'm still a bit wobbly from jet lag, gluttonous eating, etc., but K was a champion traveler and we had a thoroughly marvelous vacation, so no complaints here.
