Good morning, friends! Today, I’m guest posting over at Straight Grain, and I hope you’ll check out my Belgian-inspired creations there. They were fully approved by K!!
Here are some teaser images…
Below, K is trying to assemble a cardboard peacock from a fabulous book that was a gift from a dear friend (I just noticed that K has chocolate all over her face – not the Belgian kind, though that would have been such a great prop!):
An upcycled dress:
Butterflies! How can you not love butterflies?
Pop on over to An’s blog for the details!!
Oooh, I’m excited to click over, ha! I love this series, can’t wait to see your twist on it…
the teasers look beautiful, I’m clicking over now!
Yea, yea, yea…that’s my answer to your question :). You’re smart to choose the fabrics, they don’t go too far from your style, I can feel Belgian taste from your works without loosing “Sanae”. I really like them and you interpret well. Congrats, Sanae!
Following you to Belgian style!
What? No Belgium chocolates? Blasphemy!
I was just over at An’s and you’re dresses are fantastic!
Oh boy, you did three dresses… thank goodness I was ahead of you.
I love the fabric choices. Your dresses are superb!
These shots are beautiful! Clicking over now
The dresses look great, no surprise:)
And, what’s the book? It looks captivating.
Thanks Megan! The book is called “The Field Guide to Birds: Explore Southern Asia and Oceania” and is chock-full of factoids and comes with cardboard pieces that can be assembled to make 3-d birds. It’s a really beautiful book.
Thanks! I just clicked over to Amazon to save it for a rainy day order:)
Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments – I think I went a little overboard with the number of dresses because I was so nervous that I wasn’t “getting” the Belgian look! K has been loving these dresses though that one made out of the scarf ended up tearing at the bodice seam for the millionth time after she wore it to school (sigh).
Gorgeous! I love to come here… and I’m fond of butterflies^^.
