When We Were Young Part 2

June 18, 2013

Today, I'm guest posting over at sewpony for the fantastic series, When We Were Young. The post will be up on sewpony later this afternoon (around 5pm US PST time), so I hope you'll check it out! Here's the image that inspired my sewing...this is me, at age three-ish: It was very very hard to decide on which ones to make. Below are a few of the other images my mom sent over, and though it's tricky to see the details for some of them, I think they're all so sweet... I really want to try ... Read more

Monday Outfit: When We Were Young Part 1

June 17, 2013

Good morning! We're back from yurt camping, and we had a grand time! I hope to share some tidbits later, but today I'm posting an outfit that was originally intended to be a guest post for sewpony's When We Were Young Series (and you should see Jess' amazing little dress!). But you know how I constantly accidentally publish things? Yes, I did it again. I decided to go ahead and make it my Monday Outfit instead, and I created another guest post for Suz, which I hope you'll check out ... Read more

shorts on the line!

June 12, 2013

It's shorts on the line time! I'm so honored to be included in this amazing line-up of guest bloggers, and how perfect is this sew-along event? We all need summer shorts for our kiddos (and ourselves), and you have the chance to win superb prizes while sewing up a pair or two or three! I made a couple of shorts/outfits and I'm excited to share them with you today. As always, I used Japanese patterns for most of these outfits. But I'm branching out a little, and I actually self-drafted ... Read more

Monday Outfit: Gold Dots + Compagnie M

June 10, 2013

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Birthday party season has been in full swing around here, so it's been party after party these past few weekends, which is always great until the sugar crash hits...still, it's been festive and summer-like. This week, I did something a little different. A couple of weeks ago, the very talented Marte contacted me with some questions about a Japanese pattern. Funnily enough, I had just cut out the pattern for the very skirt she was ... Read more
