As much as I can&#8217;t seem to stop sewing with linen, nine times out of ten, K will reach for the knits. I&#8217;ve long stopped feeling intimidated by the slinky, stretchy stuff, but I have to admit that it&#8217;s not my favorite type of fabric to sew. But I get it. I reach for the comfy knits too, both store-bought and handmade (I&#8217;m only into day five of Me-Made-May and I&#8217;ve worn knits four times).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/rosy-knits4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9674\" alt=\"rosy-knits4\" src=\"http:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/rosy-knits4.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"774\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/rosy-knits4.jpg 800w, https:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/rosy-knits4-300x290.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So when K asked if I would make her a knit top with a giant honking bow where her boobs would be, well&#8230;I said, &#8220;one giant bow over boopies coming up&#8221;. That was her special name for the mammary glands up until last year, and I&#8217;ve always been partial to it.<\/p>\n<p>It was handy that I happened to have a pattern that fit the bill exactly from this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.jp\/s\/ref=nb_sb_noss?__mk_ja_JP=%E3%82%AB%E3%82%BF%E3%82%AB%E3%83%8A&amp;url=search-alias%3Daps&amp;field-keywords=9784529050678\" target=\"_blank\">book<\/a>. Not my neatest work, but it turned out just fine. The fabric is a slithery, luxe\/lush rayon blend, and I made a <a title=\"Monday Outfit: Red Knit Henley + Wool Suspender Skirt\" href=\"http:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/?p=2391\" target=\"_blank\">henley<\/a> out of it a long, long time ago with it. They&#8217;re cute, comfy and cool (I was straining for a more original and clever alliteration there. Foiled) &#8212; what&#8217;s not to love?<\/p>\n<p>I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Ours was filled to the brim with fun activities and I&#8217;m looking forward to a productive week. I think my favorite part was taking K and her best friend to see the movie <a href=\"http:\/\/nature.disney.com\/bears\" target=\"_blank\">Bears<\/a>.
