\nHello, my friends! Hard as it is to believe, it\u2019s that time of year when Christmas is just around the corner. For this year\u2019s free printable holiday tags, I decided to use some illustrations from my latest book, SHIBUI: THE JAPANESE ART OF FINDING BEAUTY IN AGING<\/a>. Most of the illustrations didn\u2019t make it into the book, but I enjoyed painting them so much that it seemed a shame not to use them for something.<\/i><\/p>\n

I also doodled a few somewhat more holiday-esque illustrations and made them into tags as well.<\/p>\n

Then my father-in-law asked me to make some floral bookmarks with my watercolor illos, so naturally I opted to feature flora from Shibui (these actually show up in the book):<\/p>\n

As always, these tags\/bookmarks are super easy to print on 8.5\u201d x 11\u201d textured or cardstock inkjet paper, I\u2019ve heard that some folks have been downloading and printing my annual holiday tags for years \u2014 so fun!<\/p>\n

Welp. That’s pretty much a wrap. Like so many of you, I am winding down and reflecting on the past 12 months. It’s been a staggering year full of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We moved. We dealt with scary health issues and survived. We traveled. We hunkered down and learned how to appreciate what we have despite endless challenges. In short, we lived a very human life, which is all we can do, really. What will 2026 hold for us all? Who knows? I am, as ever, cautiously optimistic. My friends, I am opening up my arms in a giant virtual hug, and I wish you a serene and beautiful end of 2025. See you in the new year!!<\/p>\n
