Doesn&#8217;t it look like something the always hip Trine of <a href=\"http:\/\/groovybabyandmama.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Groovy Baby and Mama<\/a> would make? I think K might be Trine&#8217;s misplaced daughter because this is her style all the way.<\/p>\n<p>K chose the knit fabric that&#8217;s a cat-fest of a print \u00a0&#8211; you can see\u00a0the familiar markings of leopard, cheetah, tiger, jaguar&#8230;you name it. The dress pattern is from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.jp\/%E4%BD%9C%E3%81%A3%E3%81%A6%E3%81%82%E3%81%92%E3%81%9F%E3%81%84%E3%80%81%E5%A5%B3%E3%81%AE%E5%AD%90%E3%81%AE%E3%81%8A%E6%B4%8B%E6%9C%8D-FU-KO-basics-Warmimg-Series\/dp\/4529052966\/ref=pd_rhf_dp_p_img_3\" target=\"_blank\">book<\/a> I&#8217;m diligently working through, and though it defies logic for a knit dress, it includes facings and a keyhole opening in the back:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/groovy-dress4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11201\" alt=\"groovy-dress4\" src=\"http:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/groovy-dress4.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/groovy-dress4.jpg 800w, https:\/\/sanaeishida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/groovy-dress4-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a nifty if somewhat superfluous design element, and though I&#8217;m glad I went ahead and kept it for this dress, I will omit it in future versions. Huh. Not the look were were going for, but I can see where he&#8217;s coming from. I feel like I&#8217;m training for Project Runway with all these speedy, under-the-gun projects.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been trying really hard to create clothes that I know K will absolutely love and want to wear, even when they&#8217;re not my natural preference. I obviously have standards (<em>no honey, I&#8217;m not making you a bikini top to wear to school<\/em>), but it&#8217;s been a rewarding collaboration for both of us.
